First of all, the warmest welcome to my new website, which has been specifically designed for me by my very talented friend Kim. We have worked together relentlessly for the last couple of months to put together my vision and she has helped bring my new business to life with her extremely professional and bespoke skills.
This leads me nicely on to introduce my new business… welcome to The English Studio, your English learning space.
I am BEYOND excited to be sharing this with you all! Located in Via Oglio, Corvetto, we have transformed an old bar into the perfect learning space for all your English needs! Now we have the space sorted, you must meet our teacher… me!
My name is Leanne and I am the founder of The English Studio. I am a mother tongue English teacher who has lived in Milan for close to 10 years now, and accumulated many years of experience teaching English along the way. I’ve worked in private language schools doing courses for adults and teenagers, public schools teaching CLIL, large groups of business English for MNC’s, specialised in courses for teaching IELTS, but above all, my passion for human connection is the one thing that unites all of these aspects. This is why I decided to create a space for everyone.
I will provide after school clubs for children to come and be immersed into a world of natural spoken English, with fun activities and games to help them gain the confidence they need to step out of their comfort zone and start speaking English. I will host workshops and activities so that parents and children alike can come and enjoy themselves, have a good time and listen and be exposed to English at the same time! I will hold private lessons for students who have a specific aim, and I will work alongside them to achieve their goals. I will provide the space that you and your children need, to combine the skills that they learn in the classroom in a real life English speaking setting.
My many years of experience have highlighted the problem within Italian schools where students, even the best ones, do not get the opportunity they need to speak. What is more important than being able to speak fluent English when it comes to communicating? We can work side to side to achieve any goals that you have, so, if this sounds appealing to you, then pop over and visit! Come and say hi.
The first step is always the hardest, trust me, I know. But once you take the first step, I will be there to guide you, as your teacher, your mentor, and most of all, your friend.
